Basil has through the years served his community and his industry well. He has been President of The Jamaica Association of Dramatic Artists, he has served on the Government of Jamaica Advisory Board on Arts Culture and Entertainment, The Ward Theatre Foundation and currently serves as a member of the Advisory Board of the CHASE fund set up by the government of Jamaica to fund projects in Arts and Culture.
