This year’s 4th staging of the annual Grounation series will be bigger and better, as the Jamaica Music Museum (JaMM), a Department of the Institute of Jamaica welcomes the public and overseas visitors to its signature event, commemorating Black History and Reggae Month, celebrated in February.
Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ), along with its partner agencies National Housing Trust (NHT), National Insurance Scheme (NIS) and Heart Trust/NTA, has stepped up activities to provide support to employers to meet the new mandatory e-filing requirement. Business persons can access assistance through a series of sessions to help them with electronically filing their Employers Annual Return (S02) to meet the March 31 due date.
The revised IT* forms and schedules have been created primarily as a result of the legislative changes introducing Minimum Business Tax (MBT) and Employment Tax Credit (ETC).
In addition, the S04 and S04a have been developed in partnership with NHT and NIS to facilitate single filing by self-employed persons relating to income tax, education tax, as well as NHT and NIS contributions. The S04 and S04a forms are to be used for year of assessment 2014 and onwards and filed at any tax office. Only S04 returns are therefore to be used for 2014 and onwards.
