DOROTHY CUNNINGHAM:
Regarded as one of Jamaica's leading actresses, Dorothy Cunningham has enamored audiences through her roles in films, television and theatre. e.g. 'Lime Tree Lane", 'Bedward', "Front Room", "Bubbling Brown Sugar", 'Ritual", "Country Duppy", "Small Island". Cunningham has not limited herself to acting, but has completed courses in documentary making and directing the actor for the camera. In 2000 she mounted "Body Language" which received several Actor Boy nominations.
Working tirelessly to uplift standards locally, As President of Jamaica Association of Dramatic Artists (JADA) in 2008 she attended the World Congress of the International Theatre Institute in Madrid, Spain, and became a member of the International Playwrights' Forum and the Dramatic Theatre Committee. In Aug. 2009 JADA hosted the ITI Dramatic Theatre Committee's annual meeting in Jamaica. She attended the ITI Exec. Council meeting,Sudan Oct. 2009.
