Rockers was originally intended to be a documentary but blossomed into a full-length feature showing the reggae culture at its peak; the culture, characters and mannerisms are authentic. 

Rockers stars several popular reggae artists, including Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace, Burning Spear, Gregory Isaacs, Big Youth, Dillinger, and Jacob Miller. 

 

KOTE Short Film Submissions

This is an open invitation to submit films for the Short Film Night at The Kingston On The Edge - KOTE arts festival 2014 (www.kingstonontheedge.org ). The festival will be held from June 20th to the 29th and the short film night will happen on Monday, June 23.

As always the limits are few with regard to what I will screen so feel free to submit just about anything that qualifies as a film. The only two restrictions that I will mention are:

A mistake in the normally perfect lunchbox delivery system in Mumbai connects a young housewife to an older man. The notes they exchange via the lunchbox build a fantasy world that starts to threaten the reality of their lives. Directed by Ritesh Batra, 104 minutes, in Hindi with subtitles.
