Gordon Clevon Alert is an independent writer, director and producer, having acquired these skills and requisite training from the intensive hands-on and collaborative process at New York Film Academy at Universal Studios in Hollywood, where he gained a Masters of Fine Arts in Film Making.
While in Los Angeles, he forged relationships with various creative artists, and owes his development as an actor's director to the influence of cohort, Kena Tangi Dorsey, a veteran Broadway actor turned director.
Gordon wrote and produced two short films:
• "Riddim and Seoul", a story about a Jamaican woman whose music finds greater expression through the efforts of a Korean man, getting his first opportunity to direct a cast that has international acclaim.
• "Manual of a Weed Killer" was inspired by his earlier career as an agronomist and weed control specialist; and was done in collaboration with distinguished cinematographer, John Honoré.
In Jamaica he has worked on a pilot reality series with Up A Hill Promotions. Gordon enjoys working with young adults and has designed training courses aimed at empowering the emerging generation to establish their voices...
